Part 4: Candidate sourcing mini-course – Finding the word “resume” in the page title

We are going to try to find candidates that have put their resume up on the internet. With this specific search, we are looking for instances where “resume” appears within the title of the document or page.

Where is the title? Notice the very top of your web browser window or tab, there is a title to show what the page is about. In this case, on this exact web page you are viewing, the title is: Part 4: Candidate Sourcing Mini-Course – Finding the word “resume” in the page title.

We are going to find pages out there that have the word “resume” in that title section (or tab) across the top of the web browser itself..here is an example with that field highlighted in yellow from a screenshot below. Notice that the word “resume” is in the title of that page.

Here is how to search for the word “resume” in the title of the web browser:

intitle:resume

That’s it!

Make sure there is no space between the colon and the word or phrase you want to search for.

Next we are going to try to filter the results down further, trying to find a candidate in a specific location.

Part 5 – Filtering candidates by location

I hope I am helping you with some actionable value here with this free mini-course.

Perhaps you can help me…

I am currently developing a very comprehensive PAID course, where I share all of my 16 years of knowledge as a sourcing recruiter. Right now, I am developing a list of those interested getting free access to the course when it launches. All I ask in return is your valuable feedback to help me refine aspects of the course. Also, if you do enjoy the course and find it helpful, I would welcome any testimonials, which will help the course reach a wider audience.
